Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Guest," "Customer," or "User") and Yute Expeditions ("we," "us," or "our"), a tour operator registered in Belize, Central America. These Terms apply to all services we provide, including but not limited to guided tours, day excursions, airport transfers, private shuttles, and multi-day vacation packages.

Access to and use of our website, along with any booking made through our website, by phone, or by email, constitutes your acceptance of these Terms. These Terms apply to all participants on each booking, and the lead booker accepts these Terms on behalf of all members of their party.

• Booking Confirmation

  A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit or full payment, as applicable, and written confirmation from Yute Expeditions. Verbal agreements and tentative holds do not constitute a confirmed reservation.

• Accuracy of Information

  You are responsible for ensuring all personal details provided at the time of booking are accurate, including names, contact information, and the number of participants. Errors may result in service disruptions and Yute Expeditions will not be held liable for issues arising from inaccurate information.

• Minimum Participant Numbers

  Certain tours and excursions may require a minimum number of participants to operate. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, Yute Expeditions reserves the right to cancel the tour, offering you a full refund or an alternative date.

• Group Bookings

  Group bookings of 10 or more participants may be subject to special pricing and terms. Please contact us directly to discuss group arrangements.

• Third-Party Services

  Some tour components may involve third-party providers (e.g., hotels, boat operators, cave guides). Yute Expeditions acts as an agent for these services and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

• Currency

  All prices quoted on our website are in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Payments may also be accepted in Belize Dollars (BZD) at the prevailing exchange rate.

• Price Accuracy

  We make every effort to ensure pricing on our website is accurate. In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to correct the price and notify you. You will have the option to proceed at the corrected price or cancel without penalty.

• Included Items

  Tour prices include items specifically stated in the tour description. Unless explicitly mentioned, prices do not include gratuities, personal travel insurance, alcoholic beverages, or items of a personal nature.

• Taxes & Fees

  All prices are inclusive of applicable Belize General Sales Tax (GST) where required. Entrance fees to national parks, archaeological sites, and protected areas are included where stated in the tour description.

• Payment Security

  All online payments are processed through secure, encrypted payment gateways. Yute Expeditions does not store your full credit card details on our servers.

All participants are expected to behave in a manner that is respectful of other guests, our guides, local communities, and the natural and cultural environments of Belize. Yute Expeditions reserves the right to remove any participant from a tour without refund if, in the sole discretion of our guide or staff, the participant's conduct:

• !Poses a danger or risk to themselves or other participants.
• !Involves harassment, intimidation, or abusive behavior toward guides, staff, or other guests.
• !Involves the use of illegal substances.
• !Causes or risks damage to natural sites, cultural artifacts, or protected wildlife.
• !Violates the rules of any national park, archaeological site, or protected area.
• !Is under the influence of alcohol to a degree that impairs safe participation.

Participants are expected to follow all instructions given by Yute Expeditions guides throughout the tour for their safety and the safety of others.

Many of our tours involve physical activity in tropical environments. By booking a tour, you confirm that you and all members of your party are in good health and have an appropriate level of fitness for the activities selected. You agree to:

• ✓Disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, disabilities, or health concerns that may affect your ability to participate safely.
• ✓Consult your physician before participating if you have any doubt about your fitness level.
• ✓Understand that some tours (e.g., ATM Cave, zip-lining, cave tubing) involve strenuous physical activity and may not be suitable for those with heart conditions, mobility limitations, or other health concerns.
• ✓Ensure that minors (under 18) are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
• ✓Acknowledge that Yute Expeditions reserves the right to restrict participation based on fitness, health, or safety grounds.

Adventure travel inherently involves an element of personal risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• —Yute Expeditions shall not be liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, expense, or inconvenience suffered by any participant unless directly caused by the negligence of Yute Expeditions.
• —Yute Expeditions is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property during tours or transfers.
• —Our total liability to any customer for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by that customer for the service giving rise to the claim.
• —Yute Expeditions is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
• —Participants enter all natural environments and engage in all physical activities at their own risk.

All content on the Yute Expeditions website, including text, photographs, videos, logos, graphics, and design, is the exclusive property of Yute Expeditions or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use our content for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Yute Expeditions.

By submitting photographs or reviews to us (e.g., via email, WhatsApp, or social media), you grant Yute Expeditions a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display your content for marketing purposes, with attribution where reasonably possible.

Yute Expeditions collects and processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. The personal information you provide when making a booking (name, contact details, payment information) is used solely for the purpose of delivering and managing your booked services.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent. Information may be shared with service partners (e.g., hotels, site operators) where necessary to fulfill your booking.

By booking with us, you consent to receiving transactional communications related to your booking (confirmation emails, receipts, tour reminders). You may opt out of any marketing communications at any time by contacting us at shaminburns@gmail.com.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belize, Central America. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belize, unless otherwise agreed in writing by both parties.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Yute Expeditions reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website at yuteexpeditions.com/terms-and-conditions. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.

Your continued use of our website or services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Bookings made prior to a change in Terms remain governed by the Terms in effect at the time of booking.
